The Birthday Party

We chose a "Candy Land" theme for the twins party - so many ways to bring this to life!! I had a blast scouring the internet for party supplies, bulk candy (that melted on the front porch) and special outfits from my fabulous friend Leslie Timmons. My mom and I came up with some easy decorations, like a foam pathway, vellum-wrapped bounce balls that looked like candy, peppermint drop lanterns in the trees, etc.

We had a great time celebrating the twins' special day with our family and friends. Our thanks to everyone who made the trek up/down to spend the day with us!!

First Birthday Party

The twins celebrated their 4th birthday early with a special party at school. They love their friends and teachers so the party was bound to be a hit! Carlisle chose Hello Kitty and Jackson Thomas the Tank Engine for their "themes" - they even picked out the plates, napkins and party hats with me at Party City with Evie in tow (no small feat!).

Candy in flames!

How do you know your childrens' Candy Land birthday party is a bit over the top? When the overly accesesorized cake catches on fire during the "Happy Birthday" song!

Needless to say, we had to combine the twins' songs and sing really, really fast... Party pics to come!
