Happy Father's Day

Father's Day is always special, and now that Carlisle and Jackson Camper are in our lives it's all the more meaningful. Especially since they were born on Father's Day! I wanted to take just a few moments to recognize the dads that mean so very much to our family...

From Heifer Farm Day
Without a doubt, our family is Kendal's top priority. Almost everything he does is about or for the kids and he is completely selfless with his time and energy. He already is nurturing the kids spiritually, leading family prayers every night and talking about God regularly. He has such fun with the kids, playing and laughing, but also knows when to be a parent, a guide. Kendal's also the tooth brushing champ! He just comes to life around the kids and they love him soooo much.

The kids also love their granddaddies! We are so lucky that both of our father's play an active role in our twins' lives - and all are excited to add Evie Claire to the family! Both Papa and Granddaddy (aka "Big Daddy") have so much fun with the twins and love to play show them new things and new adventures. They both have great parenting advice when we ask and are such sources of strength and wisdom. We love you, dads!!!

Sunday Lunch

Before my family left for the long drive back to Mississippi, we had an early Father's Day lunch at our favorite place - The Burger Barn. Just some cute lunch photos to share... Note how well my dad and the twins coordinated!

Two!

Last weekend, we celebrated the twins' SECOND birthday. Wow. My family came in on Friday for some early celebrating and to help prepare for the party. Friday night, we got to celebrate my sister Anna's 26th b'day with a greek feast and carrot cake (yum!).

On Saturday, we hosted the twins' party at our house and tried to keep it simple. We opted for "water games" since it's full-on summer here in Arkansas and grilled hot dogs and watermelon. We tried to incorporate tons of "summertime" treats like bubbles, Cracker Jacks and punch balls into the fun (side note - have you ever blown up a punch ball? Matt and I blew up a dozen and we both nearly passed out!). We all had a busy morning getting the yard ready, but it was worth it! We hosted about 12 kids (and their parents) and had a great time! I just wish I could have played on the slip-n-slide, too!

Thanks, Campbells!

Anyone who knows me well knows I love tomato soup. Like, ridiculously love it, eat-it-every-meal kind of love. My mom introduced me to tomato soup as a kid and we ate it more often than not for lunch - with big chunks of cheddar cheese, yum!

Being pregnant, I seem to crave it even more. The other night, Kendal and I were enjoying a bowl with grilled cheese and I commented how I hoped the twins liked it as much as I do - sure makes cooking easy! So, we decided to give it a try... What do you think?!
