Celebrating Baptism

Several weeks ago, our dear friends Richard and Leslie baptized their sweet baby girl, Mary Erwin. The children of our church got to be part of the baptism. During the children's time, Kendal took them through "these are the doors, this is the steeple, open it up and there's all the people," teaching them that the people are the heart and soul of the church. He then asked each of the children to promise to be a friend to Mary Erwin, to help her on the playground, to answer her questions, to hold her hand. I think the twins really "got it" and were able to tell them later about their own baptism. It was a special day and we all felt honored to be part of it.
