Okay, so that title is a stretch, but Jackson fulfilled one of his biggest dreams during our recent trip to New Orleans - riding the streetcar! Since we last took a daytrip to NOLA this summer, Jackson has talked and talked about riding a streetcar, always very concerned as to whether or not he was "big enough" yet. Well, Big Daddy decided Jackson was big enough, so we all piled on at Canal and took the streetcar to Tulane and back - it was worth the wait!

A Streetcar Named for Jackson
Okay, so that title is a stretch, but Jackson fulfilled one of his biggest dreams during our recent trip to New Orleans - riding the streetcar! Teddybears are Fleur-delicious

Finally, the day arrived when the kids were (almost) old enough to go to the Teddybear Tea in New Orleans! I've wanted to share this memory with the kids since my friend Brittany told me about it several years ago so, back in October, my mom made the reservations at the Roosevelt Hotel and the countdown began!
To say the twins were overwhelmed would be a minor understatement. Jackson threw a fit when he found out Rudolph would be in attendance (didn't know the reindeer was a threat!) but we finally coaxed him inside. Once we got to our table, we were able to enjoy the "Winter Wonderland" complete with snowflakes, Mrs. Claus telling Christmas stories, a parade of Christmas characters and, of course, teddy bear cakes, tea, treats (and mimosas for the "big kids!"). It was just great and an event we hope to do as often as possible with the kids.

Breakfast with Santa
Each year, the Arkadelphia Junior Auxiliary hosts Breakfast with Santa for the community's kids (I co-chaired the event several years ago). I took the twins this morning and they had a blast making crafts and visiting with Santa (well, Jackson and Santa really hit it off!). They weren't into the doughnuts at the breakfast, so we topped the morning off with a trip to the Donut Palace and a shopping trip for the local Angel Tree project. Great morning with some pretty cool kiddos.
